A photography based book about how we go through the cycle of life. This book will bring you through the cycle of life of humans through the lens. Life of humanity is all about striving and celebrating for personal fulfillment in a linear progression and along the journey, we may experience more in one than the other between joy and melancholy during our lifetime. At the end of the day, the cycle of life for everyone is different. The purpose of this project is to show the power and importance of communicating via photography. Besides, it’s also to share the cycle of life narrated through the lens capturing the journey along the way.
Before having the idea of creating this book, I was inspired by Fan Ho and his works as a photographer, particularly his book – Fan Ho: A Hong Kong Memoir where we are introduced to Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s, through his eyes. Everything about the book and his photography feel so surreal and his legacy will continue to live on and resonate in the world we live in today.
To capture the perfect moment and reflecting it with the stories that are portrayed in the book that I am going to create.
The Process is not only a book but also a self-reflection and progression check for myself as a graphic designer and photographer. For the past years, I have been too focused in different aspects of life that sometimes, it's easy to not be aware of the things that are happening around you. It's even harder to reflect on what truly matters and how far I have come to.
With growing up comes with heavier weights and reflections, this book that I have published is here to constantly remind me that life is only so short and there're more in what is offered. For everyone out there, I hope you wake up everyday feeling inspired and never stop inspiring, doing what you do best 🙌
